Equipping the Church in Seasons of Spiritual Warfare
What are some other ways I can bring the church in during seasons of spiritual warfare?
Every church will walk through seasons where the spiritual battle feels more intense. As leaders, we have the responsibility not to ignore these moments but to shepherd people through them with wisdom and clarity.
One of the most important things you can do is speak openly about spiritual warfare. Avoid shying away from the subject, and at the same time, resist the temptation to overemphasize it. The goal is not to create fear or make people think there is a devil behind every challenge. The goal is to bring awareness, remind them of the reality of the battle, and teach them how to stand firm in Christ.
Practical teaching on prayer, Scripture, fasting, and worship can give people the tools they need to resist the enemy and remain rooted in God’s truth. Share real-life testimonies of breakthrough to inspire faith. Lead corporate moments of prayer where the church can agree together for victory. Encourage your people to put on the armor of God daily and to lean into the strength of community instead of fighting battles in isolation.
When you guide the church with both honesty and hope, you remind them that spiritual warfare is real, but so is the victory we already have in Jesus. The focus shifts from fear to faith and from attack to authority.
