Combating Fear of Rejection and Failure

How to guard your heart against rejection, shame, and performance-based ministry.

The key is staying teachable despite what you lack. The enemy uses rejection to lead you to shame, and shame is what keeps you in repetitive sin, bondage, and limitation. The world wants your failures to define you. God wants them to refine you.

Isaiah 61:7 says, "Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours." When the enemy plays mind games, call out for a double portion blessing according to Isaiah. This practice helps renew your mind daily.

Joshua 1 repeats over and over to be strong and courageous. Courageous faith is not about what you have. It is about knowing who is with you. David defeated Goliath because he had a presence of mind that God was with him. Courage is contagious, but so is fear. You need faith-filled people in your life to lean on during the tough moments.

Repeat scriptural declarations daily: "I have the mind of Christ." "I am a believer, not a doubter." "I walk by faith." Do not give naysayers any time. Focus on what the Lord has called you to do. And remember, you are only as sick as your secrets. You need people you can be vulnerable with.
